Hello fellow Christian who are praying for India,
Thank you for your past support, especially with regard to the Covid situation in India. As you may be aware, Covid in India is spreading very rapidly. Many of our friends and families are suffering and not able to get proper medical assistance.
We also heard from some mission hospitals that they are in need of even basic things such as oxygen, protective gear and medicine to take care of patients. Availability of hospital beds are even worse. We at GMI feel that the Lord wants our believers in this country to rise up to the challenge, as you all have done in the past during many disasters. We are adding some quotes below for your information.
1. One doctor wrote: ” Right now the situation is very bad here, I am officially monitoring 350 patients in a district hospital. Death toll is increasing rapidly. The Mission hospital here needs more infrastructure in the form of ventilators, oxygen, monitors, drugs, more staff etc. An urgent need of approximately $50,000.”
2. Another mission hospital in Bombay wrote about very similar conditions as above.
3. We have received a long list of believers and evangelists who are suffering from Covid. They all need to pay significant hospital bills. The Covid treatment is not cheap in India.
